fiancee wanted somewhere to put all her jewelry, shes got like 3 small drawers in our closet filled with stuff but because its all in separate boxes piled up, its pretty impossible to see all of it.
soo for xmas im building her a jewelry box/wall cabinet that will eventually be installed into the wall between studs. It'll have a locking mirror front, 3 sets of 2 row panels for rings, 3 panels for earrings (about 80 pairs of earrings), hooks for necklaces on the back of the door, and then the 6 boxes in the bottom. all red oak. keep in mind im pretty novice when it comes to woodworking.
so far have the frame and started on the boxes. tomorrow ill do the earring panels and get some felt and foam for the ring cushions. looking for some suggestions for stain, i want it to be a dark black with a slight red tint to match our bedroom furniture.

started showing it to people and got quite a lot of interest from the ladies... who knows maybe ill make a few more...
