378 miles, 9 hours and it's home
« on: January 27, 2008, 12:15:26 PM »
That's what my Saturday consisted of, got up and hit the road about 8, didi I mention that I was hungover like a big dog?
Had to take momma with me so she could keep me awake, that plan backfired, she fell out less than 50 miles into the trip, got to meet Blue, nice guy, hopefully he'll get that Hawaiian up and running soon.
The new boat is tucked away in the garage, I traded Blue the Hawaiian for this 84 Tahiti

Got an interior waiting for me @ Jet Boat Performance, going to drive to Redding on Friday to pick up the 441 CI Ford
I got, it's in a boat that was run over by a bass boat, engine has 14 hours on it so hopefully it's good to go. Looks like I'll be busy if I'm going to make it to Paker! (I'm going, even if I have to rent Chromey's boat  ;D)

Thanks to you guys for all your help and support since I joined this board, I like to ask questions, and usually one of you gives me the answer. Cheers!

Uhhh . . . didn't you run this past her before driving 500 miles?  And more importantly, what's not to like?  That boat is NICE

I drove the miles, and the wife likes the boat, which is good because it would suck to go to the lake in my boat without her  >:D

Well Skip I can tell you I had the same hull with a 454 and the 12JG. A conservative 550HP had her moving along really well, Handled incredibly. I couldn't believe how well it stuck in the turns. handled smallish chop really well. Big stuff you're gonna want to take it easy. Overall a good strong hull. When faced with bigger chop she rode pretty rough but you didn't hear cracking or anything. Great boat, I loved it and wish I had kept it.
