Title: 40 or the 10 for Havasu / Parker
Post by: speedymopars on May 24, 2008, 07:45:10 AM
From OC - What is the best way to get to Lake Havasu? The 40? The 10? Mileage wise, only 10 miles different, but the hills and traffic can play a big part....

How about Parker?

I always take the 10, but on holiday weekends I go to Blythe and up the 95 on the AZ side because there is a lot less traffic that is trying to kill you going across 177/62 "Rice Road".

i drove out there friday night...left OC around 730.....no traffic on the 91  :o ....hit the usual traffic on the 15 between the 210 and the 215.....wide open the rest of the way.

on the way home traffic got a little thick, but not too bad through victorville (victimville) ....and that was it.

made it home in about 4 hours...make it out there in about 5.
