Title: 454 Exhaust manifolds/risers
Post by: Hddaddy on March 17, 2017, 03:31:21 PM
Looking for opinions on exhaust manifolds and risers. Currently running Indmar exhaust manifolds w/risers. Motor is a Gen 6 454 with approx 400hp, recent rebuild. Let me know your thoughts and pics on what your running.

454, don't remember which brand- logs and snails. ~500hp. (AA American Turbine @ 5K)

I know there is better, but does a day cruiser really need it? I won't do headers on this boat, either.

Form follows function.

If your thinking your going to bolt on 100hp, think again.

The difference between the Indmar and like IMCO would be like 10 hp, maybe 20.

Do you have hose on the outlets? Or pipe? There's the difference.

My indmar manifolds have cracks, so I just figured if I'm going to spend $1300 for indmar I could spend a little more and upgrade to something better.

Water is pre heated through manifolds then into block and out to risers

Be on the hunt for Kodiak manifolds.

Best you can buy IMO.
