Post by: 88CARRERA on January 05, 2010, 05:53:57 PM
i owned a machine shop for a few years, what do you think about machining  a set back adapter? has is been done? this to set pump back without cutting out intake? ie adapter between pump and intake.  go ahead-comments?

i dont see how it would work. you would have to raise the pump and put an extreme bend in the water flow into the pump.

Honestly I see no value, the idea of a setback is to move the intake hole rearward to allow more hull to leave the water and keep the pump loaded (called flying the hull)...

What you are talking about can be achieved with a droop. Sorry for the "set back"  :sly:                        And the pun .
