I was too busy to get away hunting this past weekend so on Thursday my wife Mary-Lou and our daughter Alana did the six hour drive to the cabin to do a little hunting .She shot this beautiful 4 point (8point in America) mule deer buck Saturday morning. they gutted it out drug it downhill to the truck. then backed the truck in the ditch and loaded it in the back.At the cabin they got it hanging in the game pole, skinned it then took the head an hour to the closest taxidermist to cape out the head.pretty resurceful for a couple of women on thier own she never ceases to amaze me. today I met them at our butchers.he was blown, away it weighed 199 lbs. the biggest muley hes ever received, he even wanted his pic taken with it

Nice kill. That is a big 4x4 buck. Good lookin too. Azgfd (arizona game and fish dept) says the mule deer population is thinning out out here in az cause of the abundance of mountain lions. sucks for us. Glad to see they're doing good up north.

tell the girls great job
i can tell just by the width of the neck that was a big buck. do you have any more pics? you guys will be eating well for the next year ;D what caliber did she shoot it with?

she shoots a Remington model 700 that we had custom built for her about 25 years ago its a .308 winchester and she is real comfortable with it and it is very accurate.ill post some more pics later they took a shitload lol. it does have a big neck on him and the rut up here is not until late november so he would have had a huge neck by then

Good looking buck there, that's one hell of a woman. Im with howard19 though, last time I took my wife to the range to get her comfortable with my sigma 40 she put 9 shots in a 8in group in the groin area of the target and one in the forehead after I told her to make it count. Let's just say its her gun now and I hide it from her........
Fat fingered from the phone-Corey

gord
thanks for posting up more pics.
i love the picture of the girls where you can see their bloody hands and your daughter diamonds. you've got the best of both worlds, great outdoors-women but still girly girls.
i had my daughter shooting since she was maybe 5 and got her hunters safety cert at 9. i invited her on a hunt so she could get a pig and my wife told would you rather go shopping? needless to say she picked shopping. :'(
both my wife and daughter can shoot but choose to kill my checking account instead.
sorry for the thread jack gord i know how it is to be proud of your girls!
