Title: anybody have a ford 460 engine for sale??

after Christmas we are gonna either start on the rebuild of our motor... or just purchase a complete used one. any one have a complete? or am i better off rebuilding mine? i am leaning towards just buying a used one! but i dont wanna buy a p.o.s  :beer:

I say rebuild then you know everything is good if you get a used motor you have no clue

Ya i was thinking the same thing. Anyone know of.a good.shop around chino hills? I talked to house of engines in pomona. He said 1100 for everything from machine work .. to even oil and gaskets.

On a hi perf build that will last a long time, a guy could spend that on just an oil pan and heads.  Or just the heads  O0

Whatever you do dont take it to a "car guy". They say there all the same but there not. We rebuild 3-4 a year from car guys that lasted a couple hours and KABOOM. Most of them were completely destroyed and had to start from scratch with new everything.

I have a complete 460 with mounts and all, I'm pulling out and putting a ported and polished 427 in a week still runs strong PM me if interested it's still in the boat so you can see that it runs good
