Looking to buy my first house and this is about the only area in my price range unless I get a condo in corona with no garage and room to park toys. I work in la county so Elsinore is about as far as I can go without the commute being insane. Anyone have any feedback? A lot of people think I'm crazy for even considering it but everything else is just too damn exspensive. Looking at a few on the west end prolly 3 miles from the lake and another one on the west corner backs up to the mountains and hwy 74. Thanks in advance.

Okay so stay away from Lakeland Village pretty nasty on the west side of the lake east side of the lake more mellow but you have to remember it's Elsinore been out this way for the last 11 years have had no problem in Menifee.,Wildomar close to the lake too

I live in Menifee, moved up from San Diego and still commute down. I like it alot, plus they are building alot over there. Homes are affordable, I moved for the same reason as you. Elsinore is only a 10-15 min drive for me too.

Ya majority of my work is in downtown la but my hours are 5-1 85% of the time so I'm not worried about it. The two I'm looking at this weekend are near lakeside and grand. Near alberhill. Is that area pretty decent?

If you have kids that are gonna be in school I'd say go towards wildmore or Menifee. Elsinores tuff cause you'll find cheaper houses but then we all know what comes with that cheap houses low income multi families that rent

I'm in Canyon Lake, drive to Newport Beach 6 days a week, still worth it for the house that I can park the boat in the garage and 15 minutes to be in the water

I'm in Wildomar for 4 years, moved here because of the lake. It's 20min to the ramp. I service phones and computers. A lot of my work is in LA. It's about a 3 1/2 hr drive. On a bad day it can get 4 or more. I can't say on buying a home I rent and it's not bad.

Hey Bunger, I am brand new on this site, and even though I now live back in South OC I spent 14 years in Elsinore. I left the OC for the same reason, commuted for 9 of those years, raised my son out there and after a divorce, I now hate paying more for a 1 bedroom apt. than my mortgage for my 3/2 w/RV parking. I miss allot of things about living there, I now live and work in the OC again. I would be glad to chat sometime about the "Dream Extreme" City. If you would like shoot me a message or an email and I'll give you my number.
