Anyone have a good product to use on leather seats?
Just picked up an 04 chevy truck and its got leather and I've never had a vehicle with leather so its a matter of time before I fock this up.
The interior in this thing is spotless and the leather is soft if that means anything.

yes! lexal it come in a brown spray bottle. you spray it on wipe it in . the leather will soak it in. do not use anything else! as you will ruin the leather. We used it at the shop i worked for . Even if the leather is fake lexal works .

Lexal seems to be popping up as the stuff to use.
A damp towel seems to be good maintainance too.

So all my research says to use a water based conditioner.
Most have silicone or wax base which dries out the leather.
Or so the interweb says.

yah you really want to be careful what you use! leather is great on seats but once you dry it out it cracks fast!

I bought that stuff and I'm having second thoughts about using because it contains ethoxylated alcohol which is used in detergents.
Seats are spotless and wanna keep them that way unless I'm missing something.

you maybe better off not putting anything on it at all.

I use plain old saddle soap on my Explorer.....mild soap..... Neetsfoot oil. Lanolin .... Beeswax.
I'm from a 'cowboy' family.... I have a leather belt I've had since I was 17.....and a pair of Ropers that are 30 years old that are still in excellent shape

Having friends in the saddle making business, they have always recommended Tannery from CRC for died leather. Spray it on and wipe it off..
I use it on vinyl, leather, plastic and have used it on a couple of black leather jackets...
Odorless and cleans pretty good too. It's more of a conditioner.

Damp cloth here. This truck is the first vehicle I've had with leather, I used Meg's two step cleaner and conditioner on it a while back. It was greasy, stunk and after it dried out, it really dried out. Maybe I didn't follow directions well enough but it left my new black leather seats chalked. I've had it for two years now just using a damp lint free cloth once a week. It looks healthy and there's no wrinkles or cracks. Mine stays in the garage 90% of the time so I think that helps too, so just park it under a tree, shrink wrap it and never drive it again and it should be okay.

I use zep leather conditioner I get it from the home depot an have been using it for 5 years now on my 05 expediton an with all the river trips an crazy heat there still good. My 2cents

Brother Omar, look no further than your own home. Vaginal fluid is the new saddle soap plus it is all natural. Soft vulvas are a living testament.
Oh, do you have black, tan or RED leather? Depending on the time of the month, your results may vary. ;) :beer:
