Awesome! Good you to see you get out and enjoy your hard work!

Looked pretty empty out there Tom. Another web site I look at shows 65% capacity. How's it really looking? I need to get busy and book my week for this summer.

I'm sooo jealous, I guess living in Ca. has it advantages. The tahiti and the miller may be a good race. ;D

Thanks Guys and thanks Jeff (for the thread reminder) the original deal here was supposed to be to make this "Boneyard hull" run 70 mph for 5k and that was done Any "overage" was excess bling (tach scoop etc) recently in fact,we swapped out the "box" carbs for a pair of 450's Josh scored on Ebay returned the 600's to stock and took <$200> off the top .The whole project Miller exercise (which started on another board and caught some sh*t from naysayers (https://www.socaljetboats.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fi147.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fr319%2Fjetboatperformance%2FMisc%2FBeating_A_Dead_Horse_by_livius.gif&hash=e2cf82cc759aa57d63fc11af44365fba490cffb2)) was to prove that the average Joe could build a fast clean Hot rod jet like this on a budget ,with prudent shopping ,alot of scrounging and elbow grease and perserverance ,
Needless to say we felt vindicated by the numbers and performance yesterday I think the boat has 80+ with some "tune up". The first couple passes were too "wet" (forgot too use trim :banghead:) Water was perfect , light chop nobody on the lake and no Rangers ! ;D,Go Torco ! Hats off to Josh ,sweet little motor ,runs hard !
OH yeah this was a Jucuzzi WJ too ;D
Note Kreg the Tahitis Next :sly:

I don't know why people knock the Jacuzzi's. The boat I am buying has a tricked out WJ and that was actually a selling point to me. I like being a little different and after I outrun a few boats on the lake with Berks. etc. and tell em "its just a jacuzzi" the looks should be priceless.... My dad remember's the WJ's being a preferred pump back in the day to a few racers.

Like my dad said, i put the GPS on it and with four adults and one toddler it went 57.4, I'm happy :) original Berkeley packajet 460, fresh pump and diverter in the middle. Puttin the diverter up for the roost was like pushing the clutch in part way on a stickshift.
