What would you pay? 60s flat bottom.
« on: June 14, 2010, 08:23:12 PM »
Just curious as to what you guys think this boat is worth? Worse case senario I would rob the motor and cut up the hull. Says its a 458 Pontiac with trans am 400 heads. Claims over 400 HP. Last in the water last year, current reg and pinks for boat and trailer. Needs the starter hooked up, new coil, and water lines. Looks like I could atleast part it out for a few hundred right?

Taco'd "a person or people that show up with one lake lice and a family of 50 and cram 3 people at a time on it with no disregard to boating rules or ethics. Usualy crap in toilets and throw shit paper in trash cans. Hang out at the boat ramp like its a swimming hole. Have zero insurance on anything they own and dont give two shits less about your property."

i wouldnt, because i have a very soft spot for pontiacs! it's actually how i got into jet boats! but that is a whole nother story really! part it out! honestly i just hate seeing old boats that are getting more rare getting cut up...unless deemed unsafe!

It looks like a damn tank in the pictures. And honestly, my luck with these "deals" has completly broke my bank and I have nothing to show for it but a blown up motor and a boat with half a floor! The guy wants to trade some crap I have sitting around for it, thats the only reason Id consider getting it. Is the motor worth anything?

I'm with Nordie on this as well! Actually, I'm amazed Glasscutter hasn't seen this yet!  ;) We've been talking about a poncho build for some time!

If ya get it, get me the casting numbers on the heads, etc. Definately interested in all the hardware for it, maybe the entire engine carb to pan.

Off and on we have had talks about building a Team SCJB float for member use when ur  float don't moto.    This would be perfect.  It solves the arguement about BBC vs. BBF and hell it aint even a jet which is kind of ironic.   Its too ugly to worry about hurting.    And why do you Ray, think I am top of every Poncho out there.   Hell its all I can do to stay on top of all things CZ   >:D   (shoulda seen the cool vid I sent the noob oldmxdawg61 or whaatever)

Nordie is right dont cut it up.Looks like a clean little flatty.I would paint it and take care of some of the small issues and run it.These old flattys are getting harder to find especially wih a Pontiac in it.Nastalgic

Dunno how I dropped the ball on this thread, but looks like a VERY interesting and different boat! do NOT cut it up!! That is unique!

GC, you KNOW you're all over doing a Poncho jet boat.  :screwy:

The "Team SCJB" Float? I am still adamant about that. This past weekend showed we needed sumpin. Exactly why I've been putting together the parts to put Brads old Hallett together and maybe serve that purpose. Bought the pump. Got the seats (Charity auction win, I forget now what it was all about). Just need to figure out motorvation for it and build it. Where it's gonna be kept? NOT HERE! Christ I got enough of them......... :sly:
