The CEO for Ford makes almost $14000 a day. His time is worth way to much for him to be sitting at an airport waiting for his flight. I heard there was 6 executives on that flight for ford that cost $20000 roundtrip....Sounds like a savings to me by getting them there and back.
Do i think their bonuses and xtra crap is alll bull...Ofcourse! But you cant argue with them expedite their travel! The companies the lead are going bankrupt, I dont think they need to be killing 4-6 sitting in an airport!

Do they need to make 14000 a day ??? and fly around in private jets when asking to get bailed out and still have a stable of private jets ??? That doesnt look good to Joe Schmoe who is ultimatley going to pay for it . I wonder if GM's dickbags will want to hear my stories of me and my family driving from Rancho Cucamonga to El paso Texas for summer and christmas in a 79 camaro for 13 hours ??? Anyone ever been in the back seat of a Camaro for 13 hours ?
I realize it is much more efficient to fly that way but the least they could have done is "planepooled" or something . :D

That is part of the reason our economy is in the sh*ter, no flippin accountability.

ok i have been reading this page with some interest. i can understand being pissed off at the CEO`s of these companies but , what is the difference between the auto companies and all the damn banks, and credit card companies we are bailing out. didnt THEY also put themselves in the spot they are in. we dont hear from them how they are going to payback the billions they are receiving. now i dont work for any of the auto companies and yes they have been deaf,blind and stupid for years, the same can be said for the unions also. i used to live in the detroit area so i have some experience with this matter. but what a lot of people dont seem to understand is that it isnt just the car companies that would be affected. you have all the suppliers to these companies and the people they employ. now they are saying that 2.5 million jobs would be lost from the car companies going under. well what about the financing arms of these companies. so i believe that figure is low. i just dont understand why everyone is up in arms about the auto industry trying to get a loan. oh and lets not forget the just announced NEW 800 billion bailout for credit card companies,student loans, and car loans.
just my thoughts and .02.

we need to tariff the shit out of imports. lose the unions or restructure so they dont have useles POS making WAY more then they're worth. when I drove truck we dreaded going to union docks, took the rest of the day. these A-holes had one guy to count freight, one guy to move freight, one guy to sign for it, one guy to sweep the floor and these were the slowest cockiest SOBs you ever wanna see.

geez the guy is making $20 hr to sit on his A$$!!! i am in a union getting 11.55 and i break a sweat with in 5 mins!! this guy makes unions look bad. my dad is in a union as well and he works his A$$ off too. driving for up to 15 or 16 hrs a day.

I've drove union truck before too, you can bet your ass he dont drive over ten hours a day and has never touched a peice of freight. No offence, again just My experiences.

I am a Hollywood Teamster Local 399. But for my job, it is salary. Have never worked less than 60 hours a week and over 100 hours on some 7 day weeks. I guess unions are like every other thing in life. Some good, and some bad. The system is flawed. But there is so much corruption, there is no easy fix. Time to shake it up a bit!

My Teamster health insurance has saved my sons life. And me financially. Without it I would be f%#$ed. Would have to quit working and go on welfare to receive government aid. Thus the problem. Work hard to stay above water, or do nothing and receive benefits. Stupid system.

There is a flaw in that guys story (stupid apprentice) He's just staging material for the hangers that are working there way over or for the next day . Everyone has a valid point , there are slackers in every shop and they make everyone look bad . I guarantee you that guy isnt "sitting on his ass" waiting for nobody . Just another dumbshit tryin to make himself look good . I think everything serves it's purpose and if there is no standard of living and pay , what do you think your boss as a buisness owner will ??? not pay you more !
