Title: Barn stored Miller
Post by: jet boat performance on December 26, 2008, 10:23:40 AM
I'm going to look at a 75' Miller 18' (455 Olds, all original except a modified Jacuzzi wj) This boat belonged to Rhondas Grade school principle ,who bought it new in 75 .
12 years ago it Came to JBP for a pump ohaul and then thru a series of "circumstances" has been covered in his garage every since. This guy has approached me several times over the years (usually in the supermarket) wanting to sell this but now I belive he's committed more to follow ! Tom

Josh and I went for a look see today This Boats been in the same spot since 1997 , This man bought this boat new! We blueprinted the jet 12 years ago and they ran it 30 minutes the following week , on the way to the trailer his bride got her hand between the boat and the dock and litterally crushed her finger  :o (lost it) . They never ran the boat after that , its not a 10 but probably an 8.5 the Gel and  bottom are perfect and the rest of it just needs serious detail Very much original as produced in 75 This is a real "find" guys" More to follow ! Tom

13 + years setting ... Spray lubed the cyls, charged the battery ,cleaned the points ,"pre oiled it" by cranking , (isolated the nasty fuel by pinching the line ahead of the pump) filled the float bowls with fresh gas thru the vents and "whacked it"  with some ether! just couldn't wait   Viola!!! Funny stuff cant belive it started up after all this time !! Tom
PS Thanks to Beaveretriever for the "cranking assistance" always enjoy our JBP vistors !

Boats to old to have had a "QUIT CHIP" installed  ;D

"Cream Puff" is my vote  8)

If it would have blown a bunch of blue smoke at you, it could have been "Cream Puffin" :o
