Are you serious? If so I'm guessing it hydro locked from a quick submerging?
You did not say anything about other parts being damaged? Pistons trashed from 8 wrong/to long spark plugs??

I don't know about Fords but I do know that all the rods fall off of a Quad4 when you down shift from 5th to 2nd going into turn 9 at Willow Springs. :banghead:

All the valves bend in a VW 16V when you do that to....

I bent two rods when I had a piston fall apart and the rods tried to break the iron block at 3000rpm. Needless to say the block won that battle and one rod was bent and the other folded darn near in half!!!
