anyway so you guys know this is probably going to be a long read!
anyway if you guys dont know im a union ironworker local 416 rodbusters...yes i tie rebar for a living....anyway here it goes! i worked for a family related company and everyone knew each other...suddenly it got big the work blew up! and we were one of the biggest companys on the west coast...anway finally a bigger company came to us and was like we arent going to supply you guys with your steel unless we own you...so company sells out! now i am fuggen miserable! just miserable and have been for over a year! well some of the presidents and super intendants decide to leave and no one knows why! anyway they hooked up with another rebar company from california "fontana steel" and decide to open up shop in vegas...well so to speak every suck ass goes in there begging for jobs! and calling for jobs!...well today i was at my miserable job minding my own buisness...and i feel my phone ring...so i reach into my pocket and couldnt answer it in time! i saw it was my old boss who was over at the new company...and he called me 5 times...i was like someone is dead or this is an emergency cause otherwise he would call me after work...so i called him back and he said quit right effin now! your hired! anyway works a little slow right now and they are getting all the new work coming in...and come to find out the company i am working for is not bidding any new work...so to me today is my glory day...the grass looks pretty green on this side...

I know how it feels to have slow work, also to work for a family run business vs. dealing with the corporate b.s. All I have to say is F**! corporate b.s.
Way to be on keeping yourself flowing and finding the calling on the other side.
We just started two new large scale remodels last Monday. Just got paid for the first 40 hour week in months. Life's good!
Oh, and... Get to take the new boat out for the first time this weekend... Wooo Hooo!!!

Way to go Nordie, you mustve made a great impression on your old super to have him call ya to work at the company he is at. I am a super and really appreciate a loyal and hard workin employee, iffin they leave and are lookin for the greener grass, and dont find it, and come back, and everything was good I take em back. Now you werent B nosing this super were ya ??? Just messing with ya Josh ;D ;D ;D

thats the funny part i wasnt calling the vice pres or the super like everyone else...just word of mouth...one of the foremans...my old formean actually...my old super went to him and asked for his opinion on what to do...and my old foreman was like you know who i want...and he said alright call josh so he did!
