Hey everybody, I live in
Long Beach/Lakewood area and I need to get my boat in the water for some testing just basic checking timing, plugs etc. nothing to crazy a couple launch's
and stuff. Pudding stone is the closest, besides Marine Stadium "salt water" which is about a mile from my house. Any info would help. Can I go to pudding stone? Is it an absolute NO to put it in the salt water for less than an hour?

I live in lakewood and I just drag mine out to elsinore when I need to test. It's about a hour drive and the easiest I think. If you stick it in saltwater it's a pain in the butt to get all the salt off everything once you're done. You'll have to pretty much spray everything down with WD-40. Anything that missed being sprayed with start to turn green and get all crusty from the salt...You'll also have to flush the engine with fresh water to get all the salt out of there too.

I usually go to puddingstone cause it's down the street from my house. They don't charge you anything if you just leave it on the trailer and test/tune. I'm going there today to test my boat

It's been awhile since I've put my boat Puddingstone, but I believe they have an every other day thing going on like odd even for boats and jet skis.
Personally I just got I Elsinore, I like 10-15 from Puddingstone and 40 from Elsinore.

Yeah they start the odd even system the first of April but you can go any day to tune it on the trailer. I only go there for that otherwise I go to smell some more

I'm about 20 minutes from Lake Cachuma...every time I go to tune my boats I get thrown off for noise before I clear the marina.
Subsequently, I don't suggest it.

i go to marine stadium, idle around naples and stop for lunch at the crab shack, i would rather spend 2 hours at my house drinking beer and washing the salt off then drive for 2 hours.... your going to have to wash all that green elsinore shit off your boat anyway when you get home
