Title: Big River: anchor missing
Post by: Rogers Hopeful on June 16, 2013, 08:51:55 AM
Did anyone pick up an anchor yesterday?  Or see someone take a lead brick? My parents came back from the cove it was gone. I doubt it was anyone here but if you saw anything let me know.

someone said someone with a prop went by close to the beach and snagged a few anchors....brians anchor was still there but south of the ramp. it might still be out there, but the line got cut.

When everyone went up to the cove some asshole came by with a prop boat and ran over the anchors he stopped pulled them out and through them back in tryed to get a pic of boat but he was too quick, these guys think they own the river because the wakeboard with their big ass boats it just sucks sorry guys.

Hopefully, that's the case. I've lost 2 expensive box anchors, floaters AND ropes at these events at Big River. Lost another good one that Rivertard gave me. They just "disappeared" from being set near the wetbikes/jet ski's while I was upriver.

Sux people behaving like that! For the most part, never had an issue anywhere but there, but I'll never bring another box anchor there again.

I lost my buoy but thankfully Denise and Sam found and retrieved my stainless box anchor.
Thanks to everyone for your effort and assistance.  Erika and I had a wonderful time.  We love you all and God bless.

He turned about 20' in front of me on memorial, no look. He doesn't understand why I have to flip him off every weekend. I have wanted to roost him so many times. He always has a bunch of kids in the boat. Saturday he turned in front of me and my pops both. I tried to roost him but it didn't work. Wonder how my 45 or AR would do against a parked wake boat...hmmm

Sounds like he needs a parking lot intervention.  You know, help him see the error of his ways.
