I have been working with my best freind for the last twelve years, he has been my boss for the last five, he has accepted a job at another company and this is his last week.
Ironically, I applied to be his replacement and got it without a challenge, sort of a bittersweet day I guess... :-\
The extra money and other perks will be nice given the state of the economy, but would rather keep working with my bud...I guess it's a sign of the times, this is the guy brave enough to get into a river raceboat with me in the late '90's, the plus is, now we can go on vacation at the same time, we have always been eachothers back up.. ;)

Yes, Congratulations on the promotion. Unless I missed my guess, you and your friend will probably be able to spend more recreational time together. Not a bad thing at all!
