Bow wow?

Looking at the photo I posted about my Bimini top, the tribal jet passing in the background reminded me of a question I've wanted to ask.

I notice none of the photos on this site seem to include the guide dog. Don't you use them down south? Here is mine but the photo is from last year before rebuild.

Guide dog? I ain't blind. Most guys would freak if there was a dog on the deck of there boat. Must be a northerner thing

No way, I love my dog. But his nails would tear my boat up.... Plus the super loud noise my sweet stock J series 455(joke)..... Good combo? I think not.... Plus his entire 14lbs will slow the race boat down. If I was cruising an aluminum quiet boat sure!

Those seats are awesome
Head, and arm rest. Do they recline tpo?

With open exhaust I wouldnt do it to my dogs, and we have no room anyways.
Besides he's sorta protective when people come around. C:-)

Yah, those were very nice leather seats with 5 armrests, cupholders, belts, headrests and recliner. They were VERY comfortable but I got so much ribbing about them that I replaced them with Wise Blast-off series boat seats when I did the rebuild this year - I sure miss my comfy seats.

The Klamath is a dangerous river and visibility is poor for the pilot of most boats - the bow dog is trained to alert you to flotsam, jetsam, swimming bears/elk/sea lions, logs, rocks etc...  I need to teach mine to look for shoals, with the river this low we had about 4" of water at Tewer Riffle's low tide.

Amen brother, I went through that scenario six years ago at a camping trip at New Melones, after I had new gell on the Hallett.  It took me 40 plus hours to get all the scratches off the bow. The owner of the dog did not even compensate me.
Brenda, I know it has been awhile, but if you happen to come across this thread, do the right thing.
