What weekend is Tom Papp Memorial??

Trying to figure out which day the memorial outing is on. If this is a stupid question it's because I haven't been to one.... Yet!

The date from what i know hasn't been set. It was normally the second weekend of January.

For people who haven't been to this event, please use your heads! a few years back this event almost got shut down for good! People racing 3  and 4!!! wide out of the cove, making huge wakes and swamping boats parked; mine being one of them, and not wearing life jackets wile making passes. Self regulate guys :thumbup:

Theres nothing wrong with making passes in the cove just be smart about it :thumbup:

Thanks for info guys! I live near Elsinore and boated there all summer but haven't been able to find any dates online for the event. I can't wait to see and meet some of the crew.

I don't think any one will be making passes this year. Last time I was there you'd be lucky if 2 boats could enter or exit the cove side by side at one time

Remember that the ramp closest to the Coors Cove is closed as the water is extremely low.

Also you won't find anything online about this as it was started as a MEMORIAL for a friend of hot rod boating.  Word of mouth has grown it into something else.   Do try to behave appropriately so no one gets hurt.

remember, this isnt a SCJB event. as Glasscutter stated, this is a memorial event that started out with a few dudes having some beers to remember a friend....and yeah, it turned into a circus a few years ago. the last 2 years has been much better.  :thumbup:

Just another excuse to run into jerks offs you don't want to meet anyways.
I'd rather sit in one of Tom Papps friends garages and listen to THEM tell me stories about their friend.
