Texas has a bunch going for it.
Cost of living is 60% less than Cali
not run by a bunch of libs unless you live in Austin way to many tree huggers there for me
Tons of great lakes and rivers to boat on.
Lowest unemployent in the country not saying much now but we are low here
no state income tax
70.00 bucks a year to reg your car
65ish every two years for the boat
60ish for the trailer
Homes are very cheap in the Houston area new construction is about 75 a sqft
used is about 65 a sqft
awesome hunting and fishing
Way to GD hot and humid
I will take a hurricane every 15 years over the annual fires and earthquakes

I love Texas
Cali to me is a great place to visit no doubt about that. Has to be one of the most beatiful states there is

Which is reason #1 it costs so damn much to live here....Another is, about 9 years ago, I went snow skiing in the middle of June, the very next weekend I went surfing and jetskiing at the beach, never drove more than three hours...

I'm not saying I hate Texas, just saying it does not fit my lifestyle....

Oregon. Hmmm lets see, rain in half the state with wind, mist, and drizzle 10 months a year. Snow in the winter and heat the other part of the year, but at least 300 days sun. Bend has 12+ unemployment with every fourth house forclosed. The coast unemployement is nearly as high as Bend, cost of living very high in comparison to income potential, no state tax but property tax is high and they are looking for more ways to raise money. School systems suck in most districts. I got an idea! If all of the southern Californians would move up here, vacating that part of the world, maybe someone would buy my house for more than it is worth and I could move to San Diego or somewhere I could use my boat for more than five days a year, could ride my mountain bike in the sun without a rain jacket. Oregon is a beautiful place to live, if you can afford it. It is just getting harder to make a living as keep working so hard to screw up the economy. Oh yeah, ya gotta be ultra liberal, willing to hug every tree, avoid every owl etc.

i think every where sucks ive been a logger my whole young life been org. wash. alaska. and cal. they all suck i make the most money here but also spend the most here saved the most in alaska because i lived on an island where there was no booze or woman allowed was there 5 months and saved every penny i made bought my boat when i got home to ca. so im a dieing breed guess theres really no place for someone who just dont know any better born broke die broke as long as i can keep the famly happy ill work for the penuts as long as there out there

You all are luck you dont live ia WA , they say 9.3% unemployment more like 15% real unemployment, if you count all the peole that quit looking and no longer get the free ride, $80 a year to tage your car, $75 for boat, $35 for trailor, Oh wait if you win the lotto for big not only do they get the tax but the govener will come to your home and ask for more to help the state buget problem, I dont under stand how there saying we have a short fall in the buget when the last one was 30,000,000,000 and now they want 38,000,000,000 and they say we have to cut back whats wrong with stay with what we had oh wait it's the Demacrats spend till it's all gone and tax the hell out of us, oh wait let not deal with the border jumper by sending them home no we will give them health care , send them to school and help the become legal wath the fuck is wrong with this pic , I did get a free ride why should they.
