Title: Camp Far West
Post by: FordLover on July 28, 2011, 08:17:39 AM
Been meaning to post these from a fun North CA Lake.  Came out here in May with my future brother in law after he bought a mid 70's Miller with a 455 in it.  We just happen to get lucky and there was a club out there with 30+ hotrods lined up on the shoreline.

Jets, V-drives and Outboards were in attendance!

Any beaches there? How far from sac is it? North or south? Im looking for a cool place thats not all that far to hit the water on. Cant trust my boat to start after a 5 hour drive to a lake..

Quarter mile cove is where the jets/v-drives go.  They race all day.  The big boys(90-100+mph) run em at dusk and dawn.
Plenty of beaches(especially in the cove).  It is about 35-45 minutes Northeast of Sac.
For sure a cool place.  Camp spots arent all that great, but the cops dont bother the hot boats and let them do there thing.
A lot of the hotboats just put the boat in the water directly from the cove and dont worry about the ramps.
