Title: Can't Sleep
Post by: stc315 on March 11, 2009, 02:44:19 AM
Sitting here trying to get tired enough to sleep. Woke up with a headache yesterday and popped several Excedrin Migraine pills. They finally killed the headache but one of the key ingrediants is caffiene (and lots of it) so I'm wired like I drank a whole pot of coffee.  :banghead:

Sounds like you need some much needed water.
when i am rolling over or working I take a over the counter sleeping aid. You can pick them up a wal-mart. non additive

Im working nights right now and when I get home I drink about 2 - 3 beers and take 2 tylenol PM's and Im out for 5 - 6 hrs.
Not the healthiest of diets but I need my sleep.
Try the tylenol pm!

Tylenol PM is also very heavy with acetamenophin (not sure on the spelling) which is very hard on your liver... ESPECIALLY when combined with alcohol...  Because alcohol is especially hard on your liver also.  If you drink alcohol on a regular basis, I highly suggest you stay away from the OTC sleep medications.  I suggest having the wife/girlfriend relieve your stresses, or if one of those two aren't available... rub one out on your own.  Suddenly you stop thinking about your headache and your completely relaxed enough to fall asleep.  Just my .02

Tylenol PM and Benedryl share the same active ingredient. The tylenol PM just has the acetemenaphene in it(thats the tylenol part) So if you dont need a pain releaver just take a benedryl, and clariton wont to the same thing. different active ingredient!
