If the boat wasn't running, I probably would go to LB; but I'd rather be boating than watching others boating; I also need to have another day on the water before taking it out to Blythe the following weekend.

Best way to get rid of it is on the water; we expect to see you on Castaic.

What time is everyone planning on being at the lake? I get there at 6 or earlier to get some waterskiing in... So when you guys are planning on being there I'll meet you back at the docks. BTW, don't launch at the west ramp! They'll have signs out telling you to use the west ramp... It's a ploy to relieve the east ramp of people, mainly out-of-towners.

I plan on leaving Lake Forest around 7:00am. I should be in the water by 9:00. If you want to PM me and Wanabe your cell# we call you when we arrive. Anybody else going?

I don't have a signal unless I'm inside the 5 MPH zone at the launch ramp.... Sucks.... But I will head over to the east launch ramp @ 930. If you don't see me up there I'll be in the big cove all the way at the back of the right leg of the lake. The one you have to idle for 15 minutes to get back to...

I was hoping to go on Sunday...... a lttle iffy now....... just got back from Vegas a few hours ago. I threw my back out last night on the way back to the car....... don't ask...... it'll only sound real stupid.
If the Chiro can get me into half-way decent shape, I will be there on Sunday...... otherwise, I'll be on my back.

Is the east ramp you're talking about at the end of Taylors Spur Rd? That's the only access I see on the east side.

Hey guys.. Thanks for not forgetting about me.. I'm gonna be working on my boat tomorrow and UNFORTUNATELY have plans for this sunday... I will be there NEXT WEEK FOR SURE!!!!!!!!!!! You guys have a beer for me..... I'll be out there next time representing......

you are right, the maps you posted are correct and you have successfully located the two points of interest... That's where I'll be. Before 930 waterskiing, 930 at launch ramp, rest of the day i'll be in the cove...

well...... I'm still walkin lke an 80-year old man so this weekend is not looking good..... will make it next weekend if i can walk lke the 43-year old that I am...... I'm dyin' to get in the water.... this truly sucks!!

I did make it . Very late , but I made it . No flats either so thats a new record . Nobody in my boat is camera savy and I got too much to do while driving sooooo.....

O.K. im back. Had a great time at the lake. Did see undone at the launch ramp. Very nice boat. Next thing I know, poof! he's gone. Houdini I guess. Oh well. Beerjet finally did get over his hangover and made it in the water. Always good to see. The wanabe family came out in "patches" and had a little trouble later in day. :( I will let him post the details of that. Didnt take too many pictures but here a few of the family and beerjet's big rooster. Hope to see some of you out there next time.

Hardly . This was taken in front of the ramp just outside the no wake zone . There was plenty of folks out there and huge chop to prove it .

HUGE CHOP! I didn't see you guys after I left the launch ramp... Whered you guys disappear to? I posted some pictures up on myspace... I ended up leaving at 4PM but was there all day in the cove. Had two other boats meet me back there, I even saved you guys some beach frontage. Gonna be out there again on this sunday @ 6AM if anyone would like to join.

Alright sounds like you all had a great time!!!! Are there plans to head out to Casaic this weekend. From the looks of my schedule I think I'll be able to get out one or maybe two days this weekend. I should know by thursday....

The wanabe family came out in "patches" and had a little trouble later in day. :( I will let him post the details of that.
The Kona went down on Sunday; the issue wasn't visible and I haven't been able to pull the headers, etc, yet to see, but I'm presuming something went thru the pan; much oil in the bilge and it doesn't look like it came from the top side; my daughter was driving so I was watching her and the traffic so I don't know gage position when it went down (I just reached over and turned the key off as quick as I could).
I knew I cut corners by not pulling the engine to begin with (as was suggested by several peeps), but I simply didn't have the equipment nor space ... but I'll need to find a way now.

Didn't know what specific cove you went in (our first time there); we cruised a couple then just beached it.
