Here's the kicker, the light comes on and off.
Came on for the first time on my way too the river Friday and was on for the most part.
Of course it's off now.

I wanted to put a scanner on it before I spent any money on it pointlessly.

Payment is immediate if the truck runs fine. Had the same thing happen to my 06 1500. Same engine if I'm not mistaken. Turned out to be a clogged maf. From all the dirt the intake was sucking in.

50 bucks says it's maf or the throttle positioning sensor. Those are the 2 thongs chevy dealer told me over the phone. Sure enough it was the maf. Cleaned it out reset the cel and voila. I of course could be wrong.

We have one here. We keep it next to the inside shelf that stores all the parts we do not use

Just make sure it's tight. Light coming on and off indicates its a soft code, which means its something that's not a catalyst damaging code.

We keep the electrical items inside so they will still work. If your other deal falls through, drop by and I will see if I can **** it up for you.

For your sake Beerjet we will hope its not 420. Even though that sounds like a good time, LOL, thats a catalyst efficiency code which means its time for new cats. Not cheap!

Let us know what you come up with.

Most likely po440- 455 Evap emission control codes (gas cap loose). Posssibly a lean code as well, when was the last time you changed the fuel filter and air filter?
