Is this possible?

If so has anyone had it done And how well did it turn out? Maybe post some pics?

Arent the edelbrock and weiand ones available in chrome? If thats the case then you should be able to have it done

The edelbrock is endurashine , they polish it and then do a coating.

Ok i was actually wondering that...my fault...seen a bit about chroming on tv....seen em chrome a nerf football...so i still say it can be done...probably pretty pricey

You should have no problem chroming an intake. It is better if you start with an already pollished intake though, since this will have to be done prior to chroming anyway. IMHO chromed aluminum looks very cool and almost has a blue tint to it.

 I was asking a local guy about that too, he had a few tips.  The parts really need to be perfect to come out nice (no pitting or typical cast aluminum nastiness).  You also need to be careful when bolting it on, use nice smooth washers under all fasteners with a touch of grease or anti seize so nothing can dig or gouge into the part. Because the aluminum is soft, a bolt when tightened can dig in and crack the surface of the chrome leading to chipping and flaking.  At least thats what I was told.  ;)

I would say yes not only for the cool factor but also for the ease of upkeep.

When I looked into it, I was told unless it is strictly for show, don't do it. It retains too much heat which defeats the purpose of an aluminum intake.

Just polish and have powder coated clear....I have my intake done that way.
