It really all depends on the water you are racing in and how fast you wanna go, also the style of hull. Now in my opion for Comp Jet 17.5' Nostalgia Jet 18' and for Nostalgia Indurance 19+'.

That is a very good question since most are in the 18' range and by far the best handling are in the 12- 13 ' range . My opinion is that it all comes down to balance and set up . Not so much length . I'm probably waaay off on this though .

If you want to run a Southwind get one of the old T deck versions, that was actually there circle boat.

This looks to me to be a great candidate for NJB circle racing, and it's priced right as well,

That lil Cucci boat ain't nothin' to shake a stick at! He'll probably win the C/j class, if all of the boats remained the same.

I believe Comp Jet is any speed, just needs to be 500 c.i.d limit and naturally aspirated.

Nostalgia Jet is any older style jet, or copy of, with no engine limitations, just has a max speed of 80.9

Nostalgia Indurance is any boat, jet, v-drive, or outboard. Speed limit of 80.9

Comp Jet is going to have a 515ci limitation.

All other things tony stated are correct.
