I just got off the phone with Charlie Fagen, the president of operations over at the IHBA. He called me with some interest to start running a Jet Circle Boat class with the IHBA. He wanted me to ask you guys here on the site, as well as on the team, who is interested in this. This is an opportunity to run more events a year then just the SCSC races. The registration is $200 pre-reg, and $225 the day of. There is a 1 time membership (insurance) fee of $200.
Currently, there are only 2 more events local to Southern California:
September *14th - 16th - Thunderboat Regatta (Ntl. Div.1) - San Diego. CA
November *15th - 18th - 24th Annual IHBA World Finals (Ntl, All Div.) - Phoenix, AZ
If I can get enough commitments from racers, he is more then interested in adding our class to the roster.
Please let me know if you are 100% interested in running either of these events.

doesnt conflict, but are close together....
The IHBA race in San Diego is 2 weeks before the SCSC Race at Ming, the Pheonix IHBA race is 1 week before the SCSC Race in Parker.
I say we should see if we can just do one of the events (San Diego) to see if we can generate enough interest and see how it plays out. If it works out, we can lay down a solid schedule of events the class will run next year.
