you guys rock. I bought a fixer upper on green valley by the water tank. It was the only spot left in my price range but the good news is i got cheap enough that i still have 15k left for fixing it up.
It has some water damage on the floors so the sub floor in the bathrooms will have to come up, a good amount of dry wall work, the heating/AC unit seems to have a new compressor and new controls but I could not get it to turn on. I will also need a guy to do the white foam roof thing, half of the roof is new but the other half needs to be removed and replaced. Also on the list is an enclosed carport. It already has a car port but i want to enclose drywall and finish it with a garage door in order to keep my boat out there.
We just started escrow today. I am guessing it will go fast. I should be the owner by next week. If any of you guys are near the area and can help me coordinate some repairs that would be great. I cant take the pregnant wife out there till i get the water damage to the walls and floors done.
So i have a plan but i cant really get started till i get the title transfered. I will need info on permits and building codes. and i crew of people to help me demo some out buildings (sheds) that just need to go away. Not sure if it is easier to get a dumpster delivered or to just trailer the stuff to the dump myself.
It is awesome to have so many people stand up and try to help out. and to tell ya the truth i will probably need each and every one of your help. This place is a double wide and is need of repair before i can come out and enjoy it. Feel free to swing by there and check out what you can to give me some pointers on how to get things done.
I will post some pics as soon as i get some. and hope to see you guys out there asap this summer.
