Title: computer help

I am trying to burn files of photos to dvd R using my laptop with dvd burner and windows 7 . I want to be able to view them on my tv through my dvd player.So far I am having no luck with this.Can someone please point me to step by step instructions that a farmer can understand or a youtube video for dummies like me .thank guys getting very frustrated.from what I gather I need to format something or master something but have no idea how or what.

Will your DVD player play DVD-R DVD's.  Older DVD players wont play them.
