My best friend for many years who had moved out of town and I hadn't seen for at least 2 years came in Saturday morning. So I missed the V-drive show   but we went to El Capitan and had a great time until...  near the end of the day I felt a huge loss of acceleration. I let off the gas and was suddenly ankle deep or more in water.  I see water spraying in from the water heater line and freaked.  Floored it to try to get to shore before I sank, and I was close when all the water rushed to the rear.Very hot water was covering us as it shot out the front of the engine.  Well I made it to shore way to fast with all the water weight and ended up completely beached.  At least 2 feet from my transom to the water line.  As luck would have it beached fairly close was a couple large boats full of people.  They tried to pull it off with the boats but the rope just broke.  So with the help of about 15 men we inched it back into the water.  The next day I said to myself, D#mn I'm and idiot, I could have just shut off the engine and let the blige pumps do their job and everything would have been fine.  Well chalk it up to another lesson learned by a new jetter

Is it easy to install?  I could afford a little peace of mind after that incident!  Best place to purchase?

wheneve chaz goes boating someone needs to take a camera

I saw something similar at irvine lake on sunday...



he made several passes doing well over 100......then was coasting to a stop and lost steering....90 degree instant turn threw him up on the beach.

This guy was fully aware how lucky he was that it happened when it did.

After we pulled him off the beach... one of my buddy was thinking of throwing it back up there just to get the pic.  Man, that was cold!

His boat was similar, just a weeeee bit furthur

I forgot to mention that I found this inside the oil pan   The shear pin that broke off on Memorial day must have found it's way into the skirt of my #7 piston.  The pieces match perfectly...  I am so tired of all the problems this boat has given me that I am going to keep running it with the 1/4" chunk missing, it has been fine for at least 5 hrs since the damage was done...  I pray it makes it until winter or I may bow out of this crazy sport that just wont stop throwing me curves.

Ya theres no giving up in jet boats. Heres my horor story so i finish up my boat ground up resto right before a big weekend all ready to go all i have to do is break in the cam. So i fire it up runs for a lil while then all hell breaks loose noises i have never heard. after taking the engine apart i found out that the cam this reputable engine builder sold to me was was a adjustable valve train which mine was not. flatens the cam and the lifters in the lifter bores. Metal every where flush out the motor as much as i can. Put the new cam in that thursday fire it up break it in runs fine. Leave friday mornin get to havasu put is on the hose once more friday evening make sure its good to go the next mornin. Get to the launch ramp go to fire it up its spinin over has spark has fuel and cant figure it out. Get it off the ramp come to find out theres water in the tanks over a gallon in each tank. No idea where it came from run just fine the night before. Drain the tanks put new fuel in it take it back to the ramp fires up back it off the trailer. I turn it around and go to idle out the steering is backwards the only thing i didnt replace ont he boat was the steering. Ever try to steer a boat with the steering reversed not easy at all. Put it back on the trailer and back to the house flip the lil screw gear around. Come to find out the guy had in worked on before i got it. Anyways get it back on the water sunday now cause saturday was shot. Got it from the marina to about half way to the sandbar it starts to knock. Aww shit come to find out there was still a lil bit of metal in the pan from the bad cam. So once i got it back to cali had the engine rebuilt for the third time. Oh ya and on the way home monday the fuel expanded and went all over my new paint job lifted it and turned most of it brown. But it is almost ready to go again new paint new engine. And then when i went to put the engine back in it three weeks ago found out that the transom and one stringer had dry rot. So i have fixed that. Anyways moral of this NEVER GIVE UP cause that first beer on that boat will be so worth it. Sorry its so long.
