Need a little advise here guys. Some of you that have been to my house might remember I live on a single loaded street with a nice big park across the street. During some sports seasons they have practice in the park. Soccer, lacross, and now football. Dont get me wrong, I think having your kids in orginized sports is great and my hat goes off the parents that volenteer their time to coach. The problem I am now having is a double problem. 1st problem is the small one. These a-holes like to park their cars in front of my house and block parts of my driveway. My wife had ask to bitch to get off her phone and move her Mercedes out of the way so she could get her Tahoe out of the garage. I told her next time to put the trailer hitch on and back in to her side door. J/K......I only thought of it. The 2nd problem really pisses me off. The damn coach feels the need to blow his god damn whistle ever 5 seconds at the top of lungs to the point I have close the front door and the windows in front of my house just to be able to enjoy my dinner. I did write an e-mail to the city but who knows if they give two squirts of piss. Any advise you guys might have?

Bob, go to the coach and explain to him that you live right across the street and you would really like it if he could lay off the whistle a bit. As for the cars in the driveway, give anyone 1 warning, then call the PoPo and let them know that YOUR driveway is blocked, not sure about there, but here, they just tow you, even if it's YOUR own car.
-
Throw a cone on either side of your driveway. If someone moves the cone, have it towed.
As for the coach... I would hire COORS HEAVY to talk to him ;D

I'm sure I'll catch some shit for this but.. You bought a house across a street from a park, dont complain about park noises. Thats like the people that buy houses on lakes and then complain about the noise from boats. And I do know what your talking about, there is a school yard close to my house and I can hear everything that goes on over there during soccer season (early Sunday am). Its just part of the price you pay for being close to a recreation area.
As far as the parking, like Skippy said, call the PoPo if they block your driveway.

Itching powder in the grass after awile of cutting game short they will go to another park >:D

Yah, My brother bought 11 acres with a house up here and I moved in while he was working down south. He lives like 400 yards from a elementry school with a CalFire station next to it.. You think whistles and kids screaming is bad? Ever heard the loud ass noice the fire dispatch radio makes? Sounds like someones using dial up internet but LOUD followed by the lady screaming about the fire. This is once every 10 minutes or so. Be happy with the whistle! Cant really help out much with the parking.. Living this far from people nobody ever parks in the driveway. We do have some pretty cool tweakers running around at night though.

Your night creepin tweakers are famous and known by there own special name, hillbilly tweakers. Easily identified by there sleeveless flannel shirts, tattoos done with magic markers, and lack of teeth. Best solution that I've heard of is Bear traps. But be warned, if you dont get to them soon enough (to put them out of there misery), they will gnaw there leg off and escape. And with only one leg, there twice as hard to catch next time. ;D

Were it me, I would pull every single focking boat out and park them on the street, as well as all the cars on practice days, invite the neighbors in on it (Mine have boats, RV's, utility trailers, quads, etc) on pratice days. Be a sight trying to see these Benzes and Lexi trying to park on a street full of about 9 boats, (Yes, I know, 6 are mine.... :banghead:) 6 RV's, half a dozen trailers, a backhoe, and a good 15 or so cars and trucks! I think someone would get the message......... ;D

Definitly not gonna give you any shit Jeff. I do agree with you. This guy is just a little excessive on the whistle. Did I say little, I meant ALOT!!! I did yell a freindly little comment last night over in that direction and about 6 people turneded around and looked at me so I know it was heard. There was rumor that they were going to practice again tonight. We will see how it goes. I guess I am lucky that we dont have too many tweekers here in Lake Forest ;)

Fight fire with fire. Get your own whistle and blow it during practice and games. The kids won't know what to do and he will be forced to change his method.

I like this idea, just invite some of your friends over and you all sit outside and blow whistles. As lame as that sounds I think BP is on the right track with this one. Im more for walking across the street and strangling the coach with the whistle shoved down his throat and telling him to shut the flock up. But that usually just ends up costing me money and court dates. The whistle idea sounds cheaper, witch means more boat parts.

The school is now closed, The building is now used for Research and development in the manufacturing of some of the purist and strongest aluminum made in the world, So they say is the reason such a loud alarm system is needed that was going off all the time after hours, In the middle of the night. Was happening all the time, They could not figure out what was setting it off all the time till they happened to see there alarm time set off sheet and there fax received times was the same, The FAX machine was setting the motion detectors off that set the alarm off that set my Peacocks off in the middle of the night that pissed me and my neighbors off, Building can be seen in the distance of the pic. That made some heated township meetings. We all have our bitches and we all make some. RR

I'm all about stomping the shit out of someone but if you get him to bring the fight to you then he gets the fines and / or court dates.

Just order up some of these and the city will tear down the park and move it across town.... :D

I like this idea too !!
Another idea, if things get really bad, look around over there and see if you can find a control valve for the sprinklers. >:D

I agree with the guys that have said to go talk to the coach. In a friendly manner.
If that doesn't help, everytime he blows the whistle, toot this:

But go over to where the coach is and blow it, it will be more effective >:D

Lots of great ideas guys. Some I am not too sure about ;) If you have ever seen the size of me there is a pretty good chance I would end up in a pine box if I did some of those. They were back yesterday but I was only home for about 5 minutes then had to leave again. We will see how it goes next week. I may just have to ball up and go talk to the idiot. I do like Glenn's last idea though........

If you have ever seen the size of me...
That's why I suggested sending COORS HEAVY over ;)
You could even have him wear his wrestling mask

Driveway Blockage:
I have the same problem on a culdesac. Sometimes I can't get the boat or jeep out
without playing "musical cars" in the driveway. So I spray painted two black lines
from my driveway edge to the black top in the street. I put up two signs "DO
NOT BLOCK DRIVEWAY! VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED AT OWNERS EXPENSE!"
on both sides of the driveway.
BTW: If they block it..just loosin a couple of valve stem cores.

Well it seems this problem has been solved. I was not home last night during practice but apparently it was even worse than the week before. Car was parked in front of the fire hydrant and partially blocking the driveway again and the coach was over the top with the whistle. The wife called the popo about the car and the whistle and advised she talk to the coach. The guy was a total prick and told her he paid to use the park and he could do whatever he wanted with the whistle and basiclly told her to go fuck herself. He advised her to call the city. She mentioned that was already done and the cops were on their way about the car. I guess the guy b-lined it to the car and moved it. The city guy in charge of the park was here waiting for him tonight and we havent heard the damn whistle once  We were told that they are not suppose to use whistles here since the park is a residential area. Thank you City of Lake Forest

Damn....Fuggit, I'm moving to Lake Forest. I can't even get the fuzz to investigate a theft....I guess the next time some dickbag is in my yard I have the legal obligation to drag him in the house and "splain it" to him.... :screwy:
Glad that worked out....Now you need to head over there during a practice and thank him.....Yeah, that'll happen ;D
