Well I got my answer from the dealership today...all injectors are right at or below specs...and the warranty has just expired so there is nothing that they can do...this is what doesn't make sense...they tell me that they fall right at spec and it is definately the problem...however its not to the point where they would replace them...but they are filling my crankcase with diesel fuel...you know just my luck I donnt think it well ever end...will find my sorrows at the bottom of the beer can

That sucks. What are you going to do now? I know how you feel. My truck had problems starting when it was cold and would run like shit till it got to temp. The problem was the FICM (fuel injection control modual) and that cost me 1500.00 to fix. :banghead:

I would find a district manager and raise holy hell   >:D

People who spend 30-40 grand on a truck deserve better treatment.   Maybe a smaller dealership with a hungrier service dept. might be able to "fudge" the numbers a bit and get it paid for.
When I started telling the long line of customers (all there at 7am @ the opening bell) about how they were not honoring the warranty on my Pontiac, the service mngr. got much more willing to take a second look at my Pontiac.

It doesn't matter they aren't gonna do nothing because they are in spec...you wanna do it right just do it yourself....this is what I didn't need intermediate mechanics are expected to take 12-14 hours I'm expecting 20...these diesles aren't exactly easy this is why they over charge for the parts I got a picture by picture detailed map to do it, and an alldata account so I got faith, and the shop I will be using free of charge with a helper has all the tools available....at this point this is all I can do...the service writer was kind enough to give me an estimate...just starting with no issues was 4,200...

I agree with Brad.   They can't tell you that it is in spec AND that the injectors are the problem at the same time.   Get a hold of the owner of the dealership.  I guarantee you that HE does want your business.   He doesn't want you bad mouthing his dealership or his product.   Tell him how many guys you know on-line that buy trucks all the time.   "You wouldn't want me to tell them to stay away from LVFOrd would you?"

Not to rub salt into the wound, but it is stories like this that made me afraid to buy a diesel.   I'd love the power and better mileage than my Hemi, but the additional $$$ at every oil change plus stories like this one, just scared me away.   It sux that this is common on a motor that is supposed to go 300,000 or more.   Hope you get some help from somewhere Nordie.

i call BS and i would go over the service writers head.

so youre telling me they are 'in spec' but the thing runs like shit and they are the cause for it.

something doesnt add up. dont let them do this to you josh, push back.

This is the way that it was explained to me...the limit for the injector test is 160 out of the 8 injectors they fell between 160/158...not enough for them to replace, but it is definately the reason why i have raw diesel going into my crankcase...when your injector is dumping 20,000 yea 20,000 psi of unburnt diesel onto your piston it is bound to fill up your crankcase with raw diesel fuel, and the whole 7 year 200,000 mile warranty is bs it is 7 year 100,000 mile warranty...even if your truck was covered under the warranty which you are 8K past...we would not replace them because of the specs that they fall under...we have seen this occur before....god damn i will quote this 50 years from now still bitter...this is unreal...the bad part is they admit thats the issue...wtf?

I agree with Brad.   They can't tell you that it is in spec AND that the injectors are the problem at the same time.   Get a hold of the owner of the dealership.  I guarantee you that HE does want your business.   He doesn't want you bad mouthing his dealership or his product.   Tell him how many guys you know on-line that buy trucks all the time.   "You wouldn't want me to tell them to stay away from LVFOrd would you?"

unfortunately they told me this....i could probably piss and wine all damn day to them, but they wont give two shits...its the nordie's bad luck chain that runs around welcome to my world...i have been doing buisness with these butt pirates forever, and this shit rolls down...whatever im over it i need my fucking truck back

isnt lv ford ownd by that king of cars dude with the blue jeany bangs the gong every time a car is sold ???

no god dammit that is towbin dodge thats the aka "chopper"...at this point in time i would probably butt fuck him and kick him in the shin...he is for one a dealer, and two a rip off with a JIVE TURKEY ass show...anything and everything has bling bling...with his show CHOP IT

Hope you get some help from somewhere Nordie.

honestly with this whole issue i wouldnt ever switch back to gasoline engines....fuck that....it is just my series of motors in gm that have the inkector issues...like ralph has explained and i will quote him...an internal combustion engine is nothing, but an air pump....the diesel is the exact same, but everyone is so damn scared of the fucking things....whatever now i gotta do this on my own...if anything i should have extended the extended warranty and payed my 100 dollar deductible, and been done, but whatthefuckever....

any other questions im pissed off and drunk...and i been drinking whiskey

First off, I feel your pain.   I have gone the whole ugly route which ended up in court to get GM to honor  their warranty.   Bad luck just seems to bring more bad luck, and you my brother have certainly had your share.
Saying that, I just have to ask . . .  why do you feel so strongly that you need a diesel?   You don't seem to drive excessive mileage and jet boats don't weigh much.   For what you are going to pay for this job, you could just about pay for a crate motor for a gasser from any of the big 3.    I'm just sayin' . . .

Now I'm gonna go crack a lovely Hangar 24 Orange wheat growler and drink to your troubles.   Might not help you but it sure will help me.   ;D

josh, i love ya like a brother so im gunna dish it out in a blunt and honest fashion.

this 'poor me' bullshit has got to stop. you need to grab your nuts and go plant them on the dealerships desk. just because some jackass with a clipboard said "no" doesnt mean you have to go drown your sorrows in a bottle of jack and cry about it here. go over that guys head....go talk to another rep....talk to that guys boss. keep climbing the tree until you hit the top and if you dont get the answers you want, go to another dealer. ...even take it to one in socal. call them up and tell them whats going on. yeah, its not convenient, but it sure beats a bill and frustrations of doing it yourself.

so until you beat this path until no end, i honestly dont think youre options have resulted in biting the bullet and footin the bill to do it yourself.

and even then, whats to say you run into serious problems doing it yourself? then what? your hole just got deeper.

i went through this same shit with VW. they told me they would repair my transmission's 1-2 syncro because my front tires were bald even though there was a TSB out on it. i went to 4 dealerships in socal...finally i got santa monica to do it, even tho i had a FMIC, chip, CIA, etc. and i was 5k out of warrenty.
