Title: does anyone else feel like they have too many toys/ vehicles.
Post by: AQUAHOLIC on February 26, 2010, 10:56:39 AM
i spend every day after work trying to  build, create, fix, or break one of my toys. i have cars that have not run since the 80s and cars that just take up room behind my house. I have a motor home a f5th wheel. jet boat jet ski, 2 porsches, and that just touches the serface. I have a street bike i have not even started in probalby 4 years a banshee i dont even like a drz that i never ride anymore and there is still more.

i am just wondering if i am the only dumb ass that has too many projects and not enough time. these things are kicking my ass.

i have been working on my new dune buggy for close to 2 years now and i stil lhave not taken it on a real ride. it is all done now but these dam weber carbs just do not want to tune right. it runs great when in higher rpms but it loads up real bad at idle.

i keep fouling plugs and i cant figure out what the deal is.

frustrated!!!

I feel your pain! Not in exactly the same way though. Motorcyles we don't have time to ride, family boat that seems to be allergic to water, 63 Skylark convertible project sitting for about 6 years with almost no work done. Add to that Bebo's Crusader project, 4 kids, boys are in multiple sports, religious ed and Boy Scouts. I am also an Assistant Scoutmaster. Girls are in multiple sports, religous ed and now starting girl scouts.
Been unemployed for a year and trying to make ends meet while my awesome wife works her ass off. Thank god she has a good job!
Still trying to keep everyone happy.

Sorry for the novel. Felt good to vent though.

I've come to the relization that I can only work on one project at a time. For about 3 years I found all my money and time stretched across all this stuff I'm excited about, and it appeared nothing was ever getting done  :screwy: For about the last 6 months I've been focusing 100% of my extra time on a single project, then move on to the next, so far so good... and I'm still poor to boot  ;D

WOW!  ;D

Everyone was giving me chit about my "boatyard", seems I been beat many times over with some of this list!

Personally, down to 4 boats and one trailer!

2 running, Moo and Pickle, the Saguaro will be VERY soon, the Hallett, haven't even dreamed up what I want to do with it yet. Couple possibilities if I keep it.

No offroad vehicles, despite popular peer pressure.

My only complaint is not having the room or $$$ to do each project justice.

I forgot about the yard tractor I want to repair and use for moving the boat in/out of the back yard  O0
I'm thinking rat rod flat black with red wheels  ;D

I've got a F-150 4x4 geared front and rear and limited slip front and rear , TX-19 young blood getting 850hp +400 shot of nos and I just picked up a 1984 Mustang 5.0 with the HO motor and carburated with a 5 speed.

The Mustang will be a FUN daily driver! ;D
Equal length headers , off road H pipe , magnaflows straight out the back with no cats. Should sound GOOD when done.

$500 , It has 31,000 original miles! It sat covered in a carport since 1994. Had the carb rebuilt and it runs like a champ!

Looks like, "WERE ALL IN THE SAME BOAT". So let see if we can self diagnose our selves. Is it a addiction or a disease? I personally am 31 and have one of every toy I want at this time. I think I need to sell some of these toys and buy a house and stop renting. (so my wife says)

1979 21' Hawaiian (the lake)
1985 29' Rockwood (RV)

Lifted Golf Cart

Utility Trailer
