I know that Rod is off tomorrow and I have no job so we were just discussing going to the lake in my boat. What time do you plan on being out there?

I normally get out there around 11, but I can go any time. I just need to be sure everything got fixed before the weekend, plus I am off for a couple weeks myself. I hate launching alone cause its hard to tie up while I park the Surburbban.

I'd prefer it 11:00 or later. Sometime's my work gives me "add-on's" but usually thy're done doing that by 11:00.

Well I do need to screw the board my battery box is bolted to to the stringer... It's kinda wedged in by the manifold, but I'm sure it would be better if it were secured ;D I mainly am just trying to escape before my wife gets too sick of having me around (or is it the other way around? O0

Or bring it . I usually beach it near the ramp when I go alone anyways. Just have to creep thru the submerged rocks :o Then if all goes well I end up in the far arm sitting on the beach making a few runs between beers or throwing horseshoes if someone comes along. I heard the weather is supposed to be in the low eighties with very light winds starting later in the afternoon.

I can't think of a better way to spend a thursday! I am terrible at horseshoes though.

I wasn't going to post anything, but after reading the above post...
Ready? Set? Go!
So I get a PHONE call several hours after arriving and because of that call I left, charles never got his boat to run right so marc was towing him back to the docks, charles is sitting on the bow of his boat and unbeknownst to marc charles falls off his freakin' boat while he's getting towed!!!!!!!!!! WTF???????????
So marc turns around to go pick up charles and then marc runs out of gas and then the "water police"? show up and give marc some gas and then marc's boat sucks up the tow rope into the jet!!!!!!!!! and then they figure out that charles is COMPLETELY waisted and won't let him leave after towing him in CHARLES WTF HAPPENED!?!?!?!? charles if you never went to jail you are the luckiest mo fo on the planet
I just can't believe this freakin' story............... ???

No jail, but they threatened to call the police if I couldn't leave. They put my boat on the trailer and sent me on my way. Wow, I think I drank 26 beers on an empty stomach... I was wasted. I couldnt find my bow eye, luckily they found a bolt for me :P Needless to say I am hurting today.

Just went to check the boat and it looks like the bow has no bolt, must have vibrated out :o The boat shifted back about 4 inches and I can't put in the pin, which I found ;D back in. Any ideas on how to slide it back forward?

With the trailer hooked up to the truck punch the right pedal and then after that punch the left pedal. I saw it work once at the marina in havasu a guy with a 18ft er. I would bet he was drunk though so try that 26 beers on an empty stomach thing again, and good luck.

Man yesterday was such a long story I don't know where to begin!
When Rod and I got there Charles' boat wouldn't even run! It ran for about 2 minutes the entire day. I towed him to a beach spot so we could screw with it , And spent the entire day doing so. I even had to go back to the docks so Rod could get tools out of the truck cause his edelbrock carb was all put together withe torx screws. After spending a couple of hours screwing with his boat Rod had to leave to go take care of some business so I went to tow chaz back in. He was hammered drunk. So I tie my end of the rope to my boat and he was supposed to tie his end to his boat. Well his end never got tied so when I started my engine and went to take off the rope got sucked into my impeller! Damn no knife or blade of any kind anywhere , so I flag down a fisherman and borrow one. At this point I am burnt and pissed. So I do the best I can to get the rope out and get my boat started and off we go. Get about a third of the way to the docks and I look back and chaz's boat is there but he is nowhere to be seen so I double back almost all the way back and find him floating there. He is soo drunk it took him 15 minutes to climb in the boat and even then I had to help him in. Then the worst part of the day happens I RUN OUT OF GAS!
So I untie his boat in hopes of making it back and can't get up on a plane cause there is still rope in my impeller. The lady from the dock gives me 5 gallons of fuel so I can idle back to the dock and I send her to pull chaz in. When I get back to the dock and go to return her gas can there is three people in the office complaining that there is a drunk guy and they want the cops called. It turns out they are talking about chaz. So I panic and tell him to get the FU_K out of here quick and next thing I know he goes in to talk to them. I go back and talk to the lady and she told me that when she got to his boat he was soo drunk that it took here a long time to wake him up. (he was passed out drunk in the boat in the middle of the lake) I was afraid the people complaining were going to call the cops themselves so I had to to get out of there also. So the cop lady tells me she will give him some coffee and make him call someone to come and get him so I bailed.
All this took place in about 8 hours.

Damn...I missed the rest of the story before I posted! Dude....that makes for a long day but boy does that make for a unforgettable trip! Fell of the freakin' boat HOLY FUK"N SHIT! Lucky he didn't drown! I woulda paid money ta' see the look on Marcs face when he looked back and he was towin' an empty boat! (even though I have never seen his face)...I bet there was steam comin' outta yer ears! I've had a few trips where friends shit goes sideways and I get pissed and think we all look like a bunch of Baffoons so I luv ta' hear these stories makes me feel beter! LMFAO!

bottom line....i am glad you guys are ok.....chaz, you could have drowned out there...you owe marc a big thanks for bailin your ass out of that situation.

What if when I circled back cause chaz fell out of the boat and he had drowned or something? Then what the hell am I supposed to do? (besides feel like sh!t)
Save the heavy , heavy drinking for after your back on land! Drinking is alright but getting hammered on the water is not worth it!!

I am very glad (one one side of the coin) that I wasn't there when all of that was going on, but (on the other side of the coin) I also kind of wish I was there to help them out. After thinking about it and with hind sight being 20/20, I'm glad I wasn't there. One DUI is enough for me.
Hey Chaz, did you have gas in your boat when we were flockin with it all day? I didn't think so. :-\

Yes I am VERY thankful to Marc for potentially saving my life. I feel like an ass now.
I did fill my tanks before I got out there though, so I had plenty of gas, I just didnt have spark, I think my coil burnt out. It would start and run for a few seconds then nothing.

what fuel pump do you have? Usually a bad coil won't even allow it to fire at all.

I had 7-9 lbs at the carb of fuel pressure. I was thinking at 1st that it was sucling the carb dry too, but later we stuck a screwdriver in the coil and no spark would jump to the wire

I'm not gonna be the one that stands there with one hand on his hip and wagging one finger at you with the other hand, Lets just hope we dont get into that situation again . The story is pretty funny but at the same time my heart kind of falls a little just thinkin about what could have happened . One helluva way to start the season off .
