Title: Elevator techs

Any techs here?  Anyone know how the tech died in Beverly Hills earlier this month?

Knew of him.  Sad situation.  Not that it makes it any easier but he didn't leave behind a wife or kids.

I worked briefly in the industry as an aporentice. I know how dangerous it is. Im just curious as to what happened.  I worked for the same company as him too. I know that safety is absolutely #1 in the industry. But like with everything, shit happens.

He got zapped with 220 by a door operator.  That killed him but the elevator kept running with him on top. Not sure if he got smashed up too. On a side note the union is hiring apprentices still.  If you want a job call the hall.

That sucks! This is the first I've heard of it! I'm a electrician, my brother and a few good buddies are elevator guys though. I'm sure they heard about it.
