Ok guys, let me start by saying, this situation is nobody's fault but my own. Ok, now that is out of the way, here is the deal. I just purchased from a member here, some BBC Indmar exhaust manifolds. They came off of a jet boat, and appeared to be in bolt-on condition. No claims were made by the seller whatsoever. Last week, I bolted them on, and posted a video of my boat running "first fire". I watch the video now and see the problem I didn't know of when I posted the video. Well the riser gaskets are slotted. This allows water to flow from the manifold inlet directly out of the exhaust. This allows very little water to enter the engine. Well here is my question. My engine (brand new last year) got stupid hot. I may very well have shut it down in time. I may have done some damage by bbq-Ing it. Please help me to investigate. The motor spins freely. I did a compression check. All of my cylinders are 105-110. I posted a pic of the spark plugs. The plugs were new last year with a couple days of run time. The oil was a fresh oil change when I installed the manifolds. It looks clean but smells burnt. What is next, should I do a leak down? Should I be worried about ring seal down the road. I am really pissed off.

At this point, I'd say change the oil, do a leak down test, install new spark plugs and run it. Maybe check the plugs after each trip for a while, looking for signs of oil. Maybe do another compression test after getting some run time on it.
Or, you can pull it out, pull the pan and inspect bearings.

I'd have to say your good. The oil would be milked if u blew a head gasket or cracked a head.
