Pepper trees suck, I had one in my back yard and tried for years to get it to stand up on its own (POS tree). I finally fixed it with the chainsaw last summer. >:D

Have a lot of the pepper trees in Vegas and see them blown over all the time. Sucks, looked like a big one you had there
-
lol same with eucalyptus's . they get tall as hell and they are brittle. My dad and I took all the ones out of our backyard after a series of big ass limbs broke off in the winds we get in the spring.

Get that thing up right, secure it with a couple grade stakes and some twine..... be good as new ;)
-
Also drive in a couple 3' tree watering stakes and get rid of the drippers or bubblers watering it. The roots will grow to where the water is.

Are you serious? I'd love to save that tree, I've got a tree guy coming Thursday, but if it can be saved, that'd be tits.
