Looking for everyone' fav place to go ...
Most importantly I want to know WHY it's your place too....
because it's isolated, because it's mellow, because lot's of titties and drinkin' and wild stuff happenin', because the water's warm, because the fishin' / water skiing / beaches, etc is great.... whatever.....
Boat is CLOSE to being DONE. Like a week or so away, I *may* even be able to show it at NJBA on the 19th!

Bullhead , cause i have a launch ramp on both sides of me ;D But after being in Parker yesturday i realized how nice the river is there, But then again it gets really crazy down there in the summer ;)
You will find EVERY place on the Colorado river has its pro's and con's

Anywhere south of Parker Dam. I don't like to share >:D

Needles/Moabi/Topock area! Only cuz my Dad lives there on the River! It's like havin' my own house(A/C,big screen T/V and a nice clean shower) and launch ramp! I get to stay for free and my stepmom always cooks!! 8) ;D Oh yeah....did I forget to mention..the "old man" always has the fridge stocked...if ya know what I mean :P ^-^

I voted other for Needles. My pop lives in needles so I save money on room and bard. That and he's good company too. I know every nook and cranny of the river between the avi, and topoc. :)

Why?

the only place i have ever put in on the colorado is altair, right under the bridge, good times on the sandbar up river!
-
Where's "All the Above" ;D
Laughlin is about the best because you have the option for Mojave, Avi, Needles, or Moabi... cheap rooms and a little nightlife.
-
I like the Parker Strip (but I haven't spent much time in the other places).
I like Parker area because there is several areas to get some fast runs in, a couple good sand bars for kicken it, if you just want to hang out you can run up to the Parker dam and float down for a couple hours with little interference.
-
Mojave
Clean clear water nice beaches and lots of room to move around ;D

ive spent most of my boating days in havasu with a little bit of laughlin/mohave...and parker when i was in diapers....since i have my own running boat this year, i plan on expanding my experience with different lakes and parts of the colorado river. martinez is up there on the list.
-
I go to Havasu on the California side. We have been going there for many years and we leave the motorhome there all year long. Only 2 hours from the house.

... Rod is comming out inna week or two.....
Probably not. Need cash for a few more parts. Crank needs polishing and I need main and rod bearings before coming out there. Sorry for the short thread jack.
Martinez!

MARTINEZ
The only place I have been so I have to vote Martinez also. It was a great place though ;D
-
OK, I'll bite - where is Martinez....

Yuma! Az

Love McIntyre Park in Blythe. No BIG boats and never crowded.

Just north of Yuma, no big boats, no rocks, no crowds... just sand.... ;D
-
Needles. The only downside is the cold water.
