ok so check this out. i do a bunch of fishing in the sierras and i have an alum 14' boat with an out board
i have this idea tell me if i am nuts. i want to make it a jet. i want to put running gear (motor and jet ) out of a jet ski, do a little helm, foot throttle, etc. i have acess to all the parts and a tig welder. what to you guys think. and this is not to haul ass just so i can use the outboard as an anchor. so guess the ? is how to mount intake?

At least you be able to fish the shallow rivers.I like different things like this.I would do it.

If you are planning to use 2stroke I would check to see that they are allowed where you fish.

That thing shit n gits !    Did you see how far forward he is leaning at the end?    I think I would ditch the hand throttle for one on the floor and install a Recarro.

Why don't you just get a sit down jetski, cut a holie in the bottom of your boat, the. Glass/epoxy it all together. 

I dunno,  seems easier

Or buy a newer one and just fish from it.   They pretty much balance themselves nowadays.
