I have a 2000 ford f250 diesel that needs the pedestal changed. I am already buying the EBP delete kit with the new portion for the turbo. I really do not have a place to do the work and was curious what the cost would be and if someone wants to do it. I have a guy who can rebuild the turbo also. I just basically need someone looking to make money for their labor. Let me know. The truck needs it bad

I hated that valve on my excursion
sent from my garage drinkin cold ass coors light

Yeah that damn valve is leaking. I just want it gone. I bought the new pedestal with that valve and holes removed. Thrte is also a piece for the turbo to remove the hole used to operate the valve and I think I need to purchase a little jumper back to the ecu.

Yeah, youll need the jumper to "trick" the ECM. The pedestal i believe is from a 97 that doesnt have the actuator?
Not too big of a deal to pull the turbo and swap the pedestal, just a few o-rings and clamps unless you have an exhaust brake. Maybe a 3 hour job

I can buy the jumper piece. Is it really not that big of a deal to change? I just don't really have a place to do it and if someone wants to make a few bucks to knock it out would be cool.

I did mine myself, it was a total bitch. I wanted to pull the radio out and cut a hole in the firewall for those 10mm bolts.
I used a good write-up from thedieselstop.com. the best power stroke mechanic in the world is a friend of mine. Matt Stranz at power house diesel in Norco. He lives in Buena Park near la Palma and Magnolia.

10mm bolts? Talking about the collector on the back side of the turbo?

No, pedestal bolts.
I should've changed the rubber donuts from up pipes to collector but they were too crusty looking so I said screw it.

Thats down the street from me, but you already know that. Maybe you could se if he wants to do the work. All this pain in the ass is making me not want to do it even more

I think he moved to Norco to be closer to his shop.. according to Facebook. It's the guy in blue.

My buddy is probably the best Ford diesel mechanic in socal. All the dealers send people to him when they can't figure out the issue. He runs a shop out of his house as well and will take good care of you. PM me and I will send you his name and number.
