Simmer down there young 'un. What's the cause of your frustration? Call me, let's see if we can make this thing a runner by next season.

hey skipper....i was just trying to finish the heli-coil on the bowl and seal up the pump...i just had to take a step back cuz it was pissing me off! ill call u later today thanx bro. it will def. be a runner by next season

They are not cheap to get a kit but the repair is well worth it.

Timeserts work OK but IMHO a Helicoil makes a better overall repair and are a little stronger as far as bolt torque and longevity. I have used both and as far as time to do the repair is concerned, Timeserts win hands down, but they require a lager area to perform the same repair than the Helicoil which is why I call them a little stronger.....

Just my opinion...No need to get excited yall'  ;D

LB, If you didn't get frustrated while working on a boat...it's too new  :sly:

On our last race pump, I had to drill and tap the bowl bolt holes and install Helicoils in all of them, the problem was, it was double drilled.  :banghead: There's an entire day I'll never get back.  :screwy:

omg thats a shiz load of boltholes! yeah im just doing one on the intake(big) side...yeah this isnt anywhere near new...1978 baby!
