Title: Fuel Storage

Thinking about storing bulk fuel out at our place in parker in the detached shed.  The shed is covered, on the north side of the structure and has a couple vents (2 on the floor and one at the peak).  I figured a pressure relief valve would be in order with the extreme heat.  Planning on getting a steel 55 gal drum and a 12v electric transfer setup.
Does anyone else do this?  If so, what is some tips/tricks? 
Is it a bad idea?

Do you mean "fuel" like VP race fuel or pump gas? A full 54 gallon drum will not expand much. The drum lid will flex a little. Pump gas needs some sort of fuel additive because of the ethanol in the gas. I store 3 drums of VP Blue on the North side of my garage with no problem. Temps in Texas get to 100.

I used to store a couple 55 gallon cans of fuel in needles. Never filled then up all the way never had an issue

Thanks guys.  I am planning on giving it a try.  I bought a drum and an electric pump.  Should pay for its self in no time.
