Holy crap....that sucks.
I just replaced my battery in my '05 Chevy yesterday. It's got 150,000 miles on it now and started to crank slowly. The thing that really sucked was that I had to change it in the Autozone parking lot under a downpoor.
I wonder why yours is going through so many batteries.........

funny, i replaced the wife's battery(origanal) '03 tahoe on wednesday because it started dragging. was going to do it in autozone's parking lot but decided to go with AC DELCO since we've never had any problems. fired right up in mammoth @ 2* above 0.

my battery dies 4-5 times a week. i have replaced the battery...dealer says there's no draw on it when the ignition is turned off and the alt is ok.

its gotten to the point where i carry a spare charged battery with me to jump my truck off of it with jumper cables each time it dies.

the dealer blamed it on my satellite radio and radar detector which both plug into the cig lighters.....but i now unplug them all the time, and it still dies.

damn chevys.

X2! And the spare battery comes in handy for when the boat battery takes a dump!

Several of the Delco 7yr batteries have a 50 month free replacement and then pro-rate after that.

The times it has been dead ive been in my driveway, lucky i guess. Wouldnt carry a jump box in vegas because as nordie says the heat is horrible on them and it wouldnt be any good when i needed it.

Dropped it at the dealer, went to ihop for breakfast came back and was handed my keys.

Total bill $0.00

when i bought my truck it had 2 mismatch batteries in it  never supposed to do that with dual batt set-ups....so a month after buying my truck i went down to the dealer and bought 2 new match set ones....hope they really carry that warranty, and they have it on file....since my whole truck ordeal i have come to find buying the parts from the dealer is actually less painful then imagined....the guys at one of the local chevy dealerships....well parts counter that is....basically told me "hey just come to us, and quit messing around with all these other jerkoffs....we'd rather cut you a smoking deal then lose buisness"....so im thinking oem is what will be going on the truck from here on out!

You either have an ASD relay that sticks, or you have a BCM defect and a programming issue...

Our 2007-2009 3500 series vans have about a 25% failure rate...

The ASD relay is "auto shut down" and runs power to the ECU and other accessories.

I Have also seen the trailer plug on the factory tow package short out, this gets pretty intermittent too..My dads truck did it (2001 Silverado)...

Nissan does not make batteries BTW... :sly:

I know they dont, I figure I wont ever have to pay for one in this truck. It goes out before the pro-rate kicks in!  ;D

Honda has 8 to 10 computers and most of them dont go to sleep for at least 20-30 min after you turn the key off so a good batwery is impotent did i spell it right GT lol  and doing a draw test dosnt do much good till then ;D
