I don't know how funny it is but I'll throw one out there that I'll remember forever.....One easter weekend about 15 years ago me and my 2 roommates(bachelor days) head to a local lake(utah) yuba with the flatty. That night aparently it gets cold enough when I put my boat in the water the next day both logs froze and cracked. Anyone in their right mind would have put it back on the trailer, I look up the ramp to see my roommate haul azz down the road back to the camp site. So I drive a couple of miles to camp. Off comes the logs and off goes my other roommate to nephi(pretty small town). He proceeds to hunt down the only mofo in nephi who can weld aluminum on a sunday to boot.lol  Back to the lake, bolt on logs, un hook anchor rope, start boat, suck anchor rope on to dl and prop. FOCK....so I start thinking my BBO is stronger than that rope right, wrong answer :banghead: :screwy: Geezus what a day.

My buddy was sitting on the back of my Eliminator and slid off and smashed his NUTS on the out drive.

I thought it was funny!  ;D

Was riding on a tube behind my buddies ski boat.  He was giving me a "I am going to tear him a new one" type of ride.    Hit a big wake going a little too fast, get air born by about five feet and come crashing down hard.  I end up doing a face plant on the front of the tube and bust my nose open.  Bleeding all over.  As I am dazed and barely holding on to the tube the water rips my shorts right off me and we couldnt find them.  So the whole boat is busting up laughing as I hold my face with blood all over and I cant get out of the water since, well, I am naked.  So the rest of the day I am wrapped in a towel trying to not reveal my goods.

well, this sucks but funny now. launching the boat by myself and backed the trailer into the water, i didnt get it in far enough for the boat to float away, but enough to where i could throttle it off. so i get in the boat, fire it up and it is coming off just as planned, it got hung up a bit so i just goosed it a bit thought no big deal right! WRONG! the reverse bucket broke off and long story short tail gate of the truck destroyed, f up the boat and the boat ended up sideways on the trailer, laying on the launch ramp between the trailer fenders, and the bumper of the truck. bad day! i was only 17 at the time. dumb mistake

Taco'd "a person or people that show up with one lake lice and a family of 50 and cram 3 people at a time on it with no disregard to boating rules or ethics. Usualy crap in toilets and throw shit paper in trash cans. Hang out at the boat ramp like its a swimming hole. Have zero insurance on anything they own and dont give two shits less about your property."

Jeff Bennett and I were at Pudingstone to try out the very first Liberty 20' outboard set to debut at the LA Boat Show the following weekend. Everything was doing well, we were going through the test pilot "card" checking how it handled at various speeds and trim.  Jeff was on the wheel I was checking for leaks and comparing notes with Jeff.  On our very first high speed straight pass some yo-yo in a Chrysler Tri-hull (anyone remember those) turned right across our bow just off plane putting mass of rollers right in front of us.  Jeff thought he would just punch it and fly over them. Up over the first was excellent but we came down right into the next one that was heading our way. I winced and got hit with a wave. My mind thought that was wierd since I though it caught me under the chin not over me like I exspected.  Opening my eyes I saw the deck was dry.  Looked under the deck and all I saw was lake.  A hole, chine to chine, about three feet long replaced the fiberglass.  We were still boogining along but now with a scoop and shoe the size of a big block gulping in water. We slowed down and discovered that if we kept it just off plane the hole was about 2 inches above the lake maybe 10 mph. First we though we would just run it up on the ramp, then we though we would get tricky.  Jeff would cruze by the dock, I'd hop out and get the trailer, one shot at getting the boat out and head for the shop.  Well that almost worked except the speed he had to hold was a bit too fast for me to stop after jumping to the dock and I went out of the boat on to the dock across the dock and into the lake. We did get the boat on the trailer, drained it on the ramp and went back to the shop.  As it turns out the guys at the shop striped the boat down ground out the bad glass, put the hull back in the mold and layed up a new bottom over the hole. Patch, sand paint and buff, re-rig and the boat debuted at the boat show and sold.
