hi everyone my name is shane forrest i live in las vegas, nevada. born in  arcadia,ca. moved to vegas in dec. 1982 im a huge jet fan! i have 19 years experince in the marine industry and only one of two in las vegas that build jet jumps the other being dave holmes.im speaking in the retail game im sure theres a few diehard jet guys in the valley that can build them also. growing up in socal back in the seventys i use to go with my father to the boat races at marine stadium those were great memories! when i was a kid i remember my dad buying one of the first 1973 23 foot sleekcrafts with the 455 olds and jacuzzi y a great boat but a crappy motor. in 1977 he bought a 21 foot centurion with a 454 and a panther that got me hooked! the day i graduated high school i bought my first jet boat a 76 wiakki 360 amc jacuzzi y i had no experience and a lot of problems with this boat i was lucky enough to meet a good friend rob brown that worked at d&h marine (david holmes aka horizon boat works or holmes boat works)this was how i got my foot in the door of the marine industry. rob told me to sell that piece of crap and so i did. my next jet was a 80 tahiti with a 360 amc and panther jet this boat was the cats ass to me cuz for the simple fact it ran! a 1976 miller 460 ford berkley came next .the next to follow that was a 79 liberty with a 468 bbc and a berkley YES i finally made it to the big time.my last and best jet was a 92 cole 20 with a 454 bbc and a berkley this boat was a work of art! i also had a couple of vdrives and stern drive boats in between and my current ride is a hallett 270 with two small blocks its great for our rough lake and camping in. i went to the scsc boat race last weekend in parker and saw the comp jets run and now im hooked! in fact cj 426 liberty boat was identical to my old liberty maybe the same one i dont know for sure. so im in the market for a comp. jet and want to join in on this fun affordable class. if anyone actually reads all the way threw this blog i would appreciate some help with this find. i have the bug and want to get started on it asap, thanks shane forrest

Shane,

What are you looking for? Any particular brand or type of hull? I know of a Rogers flat deck for sale.

yes, i just moved here a few months ago.....my liberty is white, but when i got it it was grey (as you can see in the pics in the link crewcheif posted)

when i sanded that nasty grey off, i could see it was painted identical to lance's boat (cj426)

i have no history on the boat other then the previous owner of the guy i bought it from (who just flipped the sale) owned it for a short time and was proud of his "rolled on" paint job and the customer interior :screwy:
