With my background in drag cars and none in jetboats what does everyone bring to the lake for "just in case supplies?" Basic tool kit, set of plugs, carb kit, BFH, high temp silicone, screwdrivers, extra battery, allen keys, tow rope, and the tried and true duct tape? I'd love to hear what you guys bring.
Also while on the subject what checks do you do before leaving home and right before dropping the boat? I know last year at telephone cove I seen some guys coming back to shore under full throttle with the nose of the boat straight up in the air and then slam into the beach only to find out they forgot to reinstall the drain plug.  Maybe even get a few extra drain plugs?

It's pretty much what your used too. Engine stuff and yes extra drain plug or 2. With older boats I've found the starter can go at anytime so I always had a spare.

haha well it doesnt hurt to have a spare set of keys, especailly if you dont have the float for you keys if they drop in the water, or have the tendency to take the keys out of the boat after use.

With our old boat we had a draw that took a while to narrow down so we always had a jumper box.

I always make sure mine starts and the carb is adjusted correctly. I carry a little tool bag with some wrenches and some allens. I try to do most of the maintance on my boat out of that bag so i know that i can fix most things with that bag. I dont carry extra parts in my boat because of the lack of room. Plus if you break something like a starter, or rockers you can get a tow back and fix it on the trailer. I have a blue tub that i keep extra crap in just in case and that stays in my truck.

What we did was set carb(s) idle mixture for greatest vacuum signal and highest rpm on race cars to keep the plugs clean but on boats I read somewhere you want them slightly rich.=true? If so how rich? Our did I misread something? I'm finding some info flat out nuts like to change oil some guys remove the oil sending unit, run engine, and pump out oil till its empty, what?!?!
