I am no expert by any means w/respect to ECONOMICS.....
But the feed back I get from my friends is that we are in for a tough year or two.
Remaining confident....I feel that when there is a will there is a way...Sad to see
people loose their jobs/etc.... My advise....Be Possitive and plan 2/3years ahead.
What do you guys see? ???

Sorry to to the folks that are having a tough times , we are blessed to have business and work Tom

I'd say your friend is 1/2 right. We're not even at the bottom yet, and once that happens (late 2009) we're looking at 3 to 5 years before we return to any sort of normal economy. My advice, liquify all your assets into cash, buy guns, ammo and food/water to store. It's gonna get ugly.

So im down in bullhead dealing with my motor and yesterday at about 2pm i get a call from work saying theres an all hands mandatory meeting at 4pm....i told them it wasnt going to happen...no way i could make it.
i got a call from a co-worker last night...
They are doing a 10% pay cut across the board for all employees.
No more 401k matching
No position replacement if an employee is terminated (fired or quit)
All steady extra's have been terminated
All bonus's have been seized
There is more that I am sure I dont know about yet....
Mr Wynn's claim to fame through these tough times is not laying off anyone. Thats great and all, but when youre reporting record numbers for the quarter and you take advantage of the 'tough times' and abuse your employees to get a profit gain...thats complete bullshit.

there is no such thing as "we care about our employee's"

i guess there are good and bad sides of being in the military. good side is, i have a contract with them and i can't loose my job. and i get paid next to nothing so they cant really give us a paycut. bad side, people are not getting out of the military because of the economy so it's a lot harder to re-enlist. we'll see what happens the next few years.
i don't really have to worry about the buying ammunition thing :screwy: ;D
i say good luck to all those struggling with thier jobs and just remember, it's a dog eat dog world
