It's been another year making this site NINE years old today. Crazy huh?
So I wanted to start a thread and let you all contribute to it. Please keep the banter and small talk to a minimum, just post your memories being pictures and/or stories of what SCJB has brought to you in your life. Being an epic weekend, great friends, or some great support on your project.

Happy birthday SoCal jet boats, in the two years that I have been a member I have learned so much from everyone and accomplished completely restoring my 79 Nordic. Great place, with a lot of great people, can't wait to learn even more and meet even more members. Thanks Brad for all your hard work!

Happy birthday! This site has brought me to a couple of my closest friends and helped make the last couple river seasons a ton of fun. Thanks Brad for all the hard work and congrats!

These pics are from my the first SCJB event that my dad and I attended. After purchasing my first boat, a '73 Southwind 18' I stumbled across the forum. New to jet boats, I began reading and trying to learn anything I could about the boat. This forum was not like the rest. This group is tight-knit and full of knowledge. On top of that several members are willing to help strangers simply because of a shared love of boating.
When I saw the thread for the Oct 2012 trip I knew we had to go. Friday afternoon we rolled into the secured parking area of the AVI. The weather turned ugly so we all took shelter underneath an EZ-up. That is where several members introduced themselves and made my dad and I feel right at home. We shared a couple beers and laughs as the storm made its way past. Once the sun peeked through the clouds a few of us launched our boats for a quick run.
The rest of the weekend was a blur of apple pie, fireball, Lazy Harry's, and parking lot debauchery. We were hooked! Since then I've attended every event that my schedule and wallet allowed. Brad, you created something special. Happy Bday SCJB.

Omar perfected how could anyone think of scjb and not think of beer jet, I bought my boat from the classifieds here and got me addicted to jet boats.

Been here 7ish years. SCJB taught me enough to be willing to buy an empty hull and rurn it into a fun cruiser. Its my second boat! My first was a 18 ft Eliminator Bubble Deck. Now I have my 21ft 70s Carribean. Thanks for all the help and advice. I left that "other site" and never looked back. Ive met a few guys at AVI this past year and all were very cool dudes. Congrats on the great site!
