Judging by the iron intake, I'd say high performance. :sly:
I grew up in a '74 Eliminator, Green too, had a BBF in it. In 1980 or so, I rember my old man painting the kinda rusty intake on that BBF, with a BRUSH!! rustoleum, I think. Good times in that boat. Havasu, Mohave, Mead, and Silverwood

I remember the Olds 410 hp and then the 390 hp, but not a 455/455?
Cool old valve cover though and no area code with the number. :)

I hate to tell you this but that package is not 455 Horsepower. That package, brand new was probably worth 390 horsepower at max, depending upon compression ratio, heads, intake, carburation etc. The cam is probably not even close to the old Mondello river racer 544/544 108 CL CAM. Don't let this keep you from having fun with the boat. Myself and others have been down this road with the Olds 455. Good luck and enjoy being on the water.
There are lots of people to contact that have much more knowledge and info than I have, however, if you want to talk, feel free to call.

i dunno about the old stuff...
but all their new stuff is china junk. everything i bought that was hardin marine just turned to total garbage in like a year. my gauges are all faded, the senders stopped working, etc. i bought a set of transom rings and the gaskets have 3 holes and the "stainless" rings had 4. EXACTLY the kinda quality i want to see in a product thats supposed to keep water OUT of my boat with some mismatched holes. :banghead:
